About the Role

Celestix Industries is looking for an Accounts Executive with 1–3 years of practical accounting experience who is comfortable handling day-to-day accounting independently and understands the accounting treatment behind every entry being posted.

This is not a data-entry-only position. We are looking for someone who understands debit and credit, ledgers, vouchers, bank transactions, purchase and sales accounting, reconciliations, supporting documentation, and can confidently use Tally / Tally Prime in a practical working environment.

You will work closely with the Accounts, Purchase, Stores, Sales, Dispatch, Production and Finance teams at our manufacturing facility.

This role is suitable for an accounting professional looking to build stronger practical experience in manufacturing accounting and grow into broader Accounts & Finance responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting

  • Handle daily accounting transactions in Tally / Tally Prime.
  • Record transactions accurately under the correct ledger.
  • Maintain updated and organised books of accounts.
  • Review accounting entries before final posting.

Independently prepare and post:

  • Purchase vouchers
  • Sales vouchers
  • Payment vouchers
  • Receipt vouchers
  • Journal vouchers
  • Contra vouchers
  • Expense vouchers

The candidate should understand why an account is being debited or credited rather than simply entering vouchers based on instructions.

  • Check invoice number, date, taxable value, GST and total amount.
  • Verify PO or reference details where applicable.
  • Maintain accurate vendor ledgers.

  • Record customer invoices accurately.
  • Maintain customer ledgers.
  • Post customer receipts against the applicable invoices.

Book and classify expenses including:

  • Assist in preparing Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
  • Identify missing, duplicate or incorrectly posted bank transactions.
  • Follow up on reconciliation differences and ensure appropriate correction.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

Support routine AP and AR activities including:

  • Vendor invoice booking
  • Vendor ledger maintenance
  • Customer invoice posting
  • Customer receipt posting
  • Outstanding reconciliation
  • Payment preparation support

Documentation & Filing

Maintain organised physical and digital records of:

  • Purchase invoices
  • Sales invoices
  • Expense bills
  • Payment vouchers
  • Receipt vouchers
  • Journal vouchers
  • Bank documents
  • Debit and credit notes

Month-End & Audit Support

  • Complete pending accounting entries before month-end.
  • Assist with ledger reviews.
  • Support account reconciliations.
  • Help identify missing documentation.
  • Assist senior Accounts and Finance team members during internal and statutory audits.
  • Provide vouchers, invoices and supporting records when required.

Required Experience

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Equivalent commerce or accounting qualification

Candidates with strong hands-on accounting experience may also be considered even if their educational background differs.

Candidate Background

Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, automotive components, electrical, electronics or industrial company is preferred.

However, strong practical accounting experience is more important than experience in a specific industry.

Candidates may currently be working as:

  • Junior Accountant
  • Accounts Executive
  • Accounts Assistant
  • Junior Accounts Executive
  • Tally Accountant
  • Accounting Executive
  • Accounts Associate
  • Finance Assistant

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be able to receive a supplier invoice, expense bill, bank transaction or payment document and independently determine:

  • Whether the supporting documentation is complete.
  • What the correct accounting treatment should be.
  • Which ledger should be used.
  • What should be debited and credited.
  • How the transaction should be entered in Tally.
  • Whether GST or TDS treatment requires attention.
  • Whether anything appears incorrect or needs clarification.

Accuracy, accounting knowledge and ownership are more important for this role than simply entering a high volume of transactions.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Accounts Executive will maintain accurate day-to-day books of accounts, complete entries with the correct accounting treatment, keep vendor and customer ledgers updated, perform timely reconciliations, maintain organised supporting documentation and provide reliable support during month-end and audit activities.
