About the Role

Celestix Industries is establishing a new manufacturing campus in Falna, Rajasthan, including a dedicated wiring harness and cable assembly manufacturing facility.

We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor with practical experience in wiring harness manufacturing, cable assembly or similar electrical assembly operations.

The candidate will be responsible for supervising daily shop-floor production, allocating manpower, monitoring production targets, maintaining product quality, controlling work-in-progress (WIP), ensuring material availability and maintaining production discipline.

This is not a desk-only supervisory position.

The ideal candidate should understand wire cutting, stripping, terminal crimping, connector assembly, harness routing, taping, splicing, testing and inspection, and should be comfortable working directly with operators, technicians, line leaders and production equipment.

As our new factory becomes operational, the Production Supervisor will also help establish production lines, train operators, implement work instructions and support production ramp-up.

The most important requirement is the ability to independently manage a production line or shift, achieve daily targets and maintain consistent quality.

Key Responsibilities

1. Daily Production Supervision

  • Supervise daily wiring harness and cable assembly production activities.
  • Execute production plans and work orders received from the Production Manager or Planning team.
  • Allocate jobs to operators and line leaders according to production priorities.
  • Monitor hourly and daily production output against targets.
  • Ensure production is completed according to approved drawings, work instructions and quality requirements.
  • Identify production delays and take corrective action.
  • Escalate material shortages, equipment problems and delivery risks promptly.

The role focuses on daily execution of approved production plans rather than ownership of overall factory production planning.

6. Quality Control & Rework Reduction

  • Ensure operators follow approved standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Maintain in-process quality standards.
  • Coordinate with Quality for inspections and testing.
  • Identify common wiring harness defects, including:

8. Material Availability & WIP Control

  • Verify availability of wires, terminals, connectors, sleeves, tapes, labels and other production materials.
  • Coordinate with Stores for material issue and replenishment.
  • Ensure the correct materials are used against approved work orders and BOMs.
  • Prevent mixing of materials and work orders.
  • Maintain proper identification and traceability of WIP.
  • Monitor material shortages and excessive consumption.
  • Reduce material wastage caused by incorrect handling or assembly.
  • Coordinate the movement of completed assemblies to testing and inspection.

9. Production Productivity & Line Balancing

  • Monitor output per operator and production line.
  • Identify bottlenecks affecting production targets.
  • Support line balancing and workload distribution.
  • Identify unnecessary waiting time, operator movement and process delays.
  • Reduce cycle time where practical without compromising quality.
  • Coordinate improvements to workstation organization and material flow.
  • Support use of jigs, fixtures and standardized work methods.
